Science is COOL

Josh's favorite subject is science :) He loves doing the experiments :) In this lesson the other day, we were talking about nonrenewable resources. In the lab, he had a chocolate chip cookie and was to take the resources (chips) out of the land (cookie). He had fun with it :)

We're really enjoying the homeschool thing. Josh is doing so well now.

Left,right, left

Aaron has been doing marching band, practicing for a parade. He had a parade yesterday in the Dalles. We weren't able to go but, we were so blessed to have the band come through the neighborhood during practice each week. I took the opportunity to record him :) See if you can pick him out...hint...he plays the clarinet :) He's doing really well in band. I love to hear him play, it's very calming and just so nice. He's got such talent.

Happy Birthday Tim

Tim's is another year younger :) I let the boys choose what cake we would make dad...so they chose a sandcastle cake out of the family fun magazine :)

Yesterday, we decorated the cake and made some homemade pizza for Dad's birthday :) It was a good day, although he had to work on his big day. When Tim got home, we went to the fish ladder to see if we could see any stealhead going through, but only bubble fish :) bubbles..

A new Movie

We just watched Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium and LOVE it :)
My favorite saying on the movie so far is

"Life is an occassion...rise to it"

How profound...we do need to rise to the occassion of life.

Kyler's Birthday

Happy Birthday Kyler :) We had a great day. Kyler got to have one present in the morning which was new birthday clothes. After Kyler's family party, we went to Josh's pinewood derby and then came home for some cake and ice cream :) He wanted a caterpillar cake, then changed it to a snake cake :)

Pinewood derby

Josh had his pinewood derby on Kyler's birthday April 3rd. He was so excited and had a great time working with dad to get his car just right :) He has decided that all of his cars will be red. Josh really likes the color red and firetrucks :) Like last years car, Josh won the best paintjob for his car...although this one was worded differently.... "shiniest".

Josh did quite well with his car taking 2nd overall with both wards...but for some odd reason, didn't place 1st for the ward...anyway...oh well. He gets to go on to districts in a couple weeks and is very excited about that. We did have some technical problems with the car during the race as it wanted to jump off the track and fly ;) lol....it didn't break, thank goodness :)

My new love

I found a new love. I have always loved candles and could never find one that would let the wonderful smells go through the house or last long enough for the price.

I have found "scentsy" It's an amazing thing. There is no wick that requires no flame and the scents go everywhere and last so incredibly long. The way the wax melts is through a lightbulb in the warmer. The wax is placed in a dish on top of the warmer.

A friend of mine is a consultant but I am thinking about being one myself after we move. I have loved just about every scent that I have bought.

Our Home

We love our home and are somewhat sad to be selling it now. However, it's time to move on. We have been in this home for three years come October. The boys have enjoyed being here and they love school. Although, that's about the only thing the older boys like about being here. We are praying that the Lord shows us where to go next on our journey. We know where we want to be "HOME". We'll see if that's where we are to be :)

April Fools memories

The best April fools prank that I believe has ever been played has to be when I was expecting our youngest baby. We knew from ultrasounds that he was a boy and we had the date for the c-section scheduled for April 3rd.
Well, we had some sister missionaries in our area from the time that I was about 5 months pregnant. They were just moved from our area about two weeks before April fools. One sister had told me that the ultrasound could still be wrong and have a girl :) Well, We called sisters in their new area and left them a message that we did have the baby and it WAS a girl :) We made it sound so great and exciting. That night they called us back so excited "I told you it was a girl,,,I told you"...
I asked them what day it was and then they caught on. It was the BEST :) We were always doing fun things with those two sisters, we still keep in touch with them today :) Now my baby will be 5 on the 3rd and HE is deffinately a BOY!!!!!

We Love our sisters Emily Wiltbank and Shaleen Weston.
