I LOVE my washer!!!!

We picked out a new washer this weekend and picked it up today. When we got the washer home, I immediately started my laundry that had been waiting for me. It was SOOOOO quiet. I LOVE IT!!!! The spin cycle did such a good job that the drying time for the dryer was cut dramatically.

Since my old washer wouldn't spin the clothes, I had to empty the clothes out and put a few back in the washer, then jump start the spin cycle by pushing the tub around in a circle. My forearm is quite strong now, but my dryer has taken it's toll for my washer not spinning the water out of the clothes. I now have a squeeky dryer, which is needing to be replaced soon. Although today, when i washed my first set of clothes which was the ultimate test of a good washer... kids jeans!!!! The washer spun so well that my dryer took only 20 minutes to dry the clothes instead of the 2 hours plus to dry them till they were just damp. My drying time had increased with my broken washer, so it took all day to just do one load of laundry.

I am so grateful for my new washer and the time that i'm saving. I now have all the laundry done in just one day !!!! YAY!!!!!

It's 10 o'clock do you know where your suburban is?

I think the only thing humorous about this post would have to be the title of it. I know exaclty where my suburban is...... in the garage....where it's going to be for a while.

Our sweet little/big suburban has been throwing some fits about going places. We knew we were going to have to get it fixed and taken care of soon, but were hoping that it would hold on for us until we could get moved or get it fixed..... well, murphy's law has been in effect for who knows how many years...but....

We're expecting our tax return and were talking about what we were going to do and get some debt taken care of... here's the murphy's law part of it...

On sunday, we were all pilled in the suburban and ready to go to church. We got out of the driveway and were heading down the road when the suburban started losing power. It wouldn't go up the hill very fast at all. Smoke started coming out of the back end and it was just throwing a huge fit about getting up that morning. We continued on our way and decided that we needed to get the suburban home and pack into the car and get to church.

Aaron is a teacher and is in charge of setting up the sacrament, so we knew we needed to hurry. When we got the suburban home, smoke was coming out the front end as well and it was very hot. We left it and went on our way to church.

Now, we have one vehicle again, which wouldn't be so bad if we were all together in one place...so now I along with all the boys are hoofin it to school and wherever we need to go. It's forced exercise is how I'm choosing to look at it :) I just remember that when we moved up here, we had the same sort of issue with vehicles although it was Tim's car that was totalled and he had to have the suburban. Thank goodness for close friends and visiting teachers.... now, just to find some of those here would be good :) I'm not one to ask for help here...so that's one of my challenges and trials here... I know i must overcome.

A lighter post will be coming, when? sometime soon... must rest my body for another jaunt to the school in an hour.

Fireproof

This past weekend, we watched the movie "Fireproof" I LOVED this movie... This is a definate MUST SEE for anyone and everyone. In the movie, the couple is having some serious marital problems. The couple is looking at getting a divorce, when the man's dad asks him to hold of for 40 days. He sends his son a book...The Love Dare... this book goes through 40 days of improving his marriage. It's AMAZING!!!! There are so many wonderful principles in this movie that society has gone away from that we as a whole need to get back to.

At the end of the movie, there was a website www.fireproofmymarriage.com They have a link of where you can get the Love Dare book :) I can't wait to get it and see how it goes...

This movie reminded us of the marriage retreats that we had in Idaho.... They were so special to Tim and I and helped our relationship immensly. We have cherished each and every opportunity to learn and improve our marriage. It is through coming closer to Christ that each of us as spouses grow closer to one another...even to our neighbors and friends.

If you haven't watched this movie and want a good one to watch, check it out and watch it :) It's WONDERFUL!!!!!
